  I'm giving 2 stars based on the 2 visits my mom saw the doctor. Both times the doctor Rison ordered a lot of tests. We have yet to find out what the results are although the doctor said the tests were urgent. Back story: my mom was referred to this doctor by her primary doctor. First visit to office was a breeze, no problems at all. Doctor Rison ordered the tests, she got all test done and we went back for a follow up visit. Second visit also went OK. Doctor Rison again ordered additional testing and it all went down hill from there. He said he was putting in the request via urgent authorization so my moms insurance insurance company could authorize it quuickly. I don't who puts in URGENT authorizations but they never did so. When I followed up with her insurance 2 weeks later they had no clue what I was talking about. First time I called the doctors office they took down a message, a couple of days later I called again and said they will get back to me. I must've called three times after that before we were able to get all authorizations cleared. So finally after all the authorizations are cleared, they gave me the phone numbers to different offices because my mother had to go to different places to get these test done. And again I ran into a bump. One of the offices told me they didn't have the proper paperwork to schedule her in and take the test. I had to call three other times to Dr. Rison's office before they sent them the correct paperwork. Finally all tests are done and I call to schedule a follow up appointment and again I remind them that the doctor put this in as "urgent" but I guess "urgent" doesn't mean anything because we got an appointment for almost two months later. Here I am now two months later I got off of work early and we were headed to Dr. Rison's office when it dawned on me to call and just make sure they have her scheduled in. To my surprise there was no appointment, then the receptionist said that it was canceled because the doctor was not going to be in the office. When I asked the receptionist why I wasn't informed she had no answer. Then when I asked to speak to the office manager she placed me on hold twice and said she would just take my a message and forward onto her manager. I insisted on speaking to someone. When she finally transfer me over to the office manager she also had no answers and said that the lady in charge of scheduling appointments wouldn't be back in the office until Wednesday. She informed me she was putting this on her priority for Wednesday. I guess we will see what happens then.
